Respect is one of our core values at Abdul-Lateef & Sanni Foundation, we treat every individual within and outside ASF with utmost respect irrespective of their status. We lead by example in our civic leadership role while educating the younger generation to follow suit.

Our People
Abdulwasiu Sowami (Founder)
Mr. Sowami is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Prudent Energy & Services LTD, a mid to downstream energy company. He sits on the boards of several companies including Prudent E&P LTD, FES Energy Limited (UAE), Ignite Investment & Commodities Limited, Prudent Gas LTD, Prudent Effsow Commodities LTD and Ardova PLC.
Mr. Sowami, an Alumnus of the University of Maiduguri, and a master’s degree holder in Corporate Governance from Leeds Becket University, UK. He has a career in the oil & gas industry that spans over 20 years.
Mr. Sowami is well-known for his philanthropy, he established the Abdul-Lateef & Sanni Foundation an NGO focused on providing access to quality education by building schools and awarding scholarships to indigent students.
Moshood Olajide
Mr. Moshood has experienced rapid growth as a Chartered Accountant and Tax Professional due to his versatility and diligent work ethics.
His responsibilities at Price Waterhouse Cooper (PwC), a multi-disciplinary firm, spanned financial reporting and regulatory services, statutory audits, capital projects, infrastructure deals energy, utility and mining deals advisory and structuring, general tax advisory compliance services; client training services and company secretarial services spanning multiple sectors of the economy and more notably in Oil and Gas.
Very early on his career and prior to joining the Forte Oil PLC team as Chief Financial Officer, he had a stint with Aluko & Oyebode Law Firm where he had the responsibilities for general legal advisory, company secretariat, negotiation of commercial agreements, litigation and arbitration.
Mr Moshood is also a philanthropist and serves as a Trustee on the board of the Abdul-Lateef & Sanni Foundation.
Mohammed Aminu Umar
Mr. Umar is the founder and CEO of Sea Transport Nig. Ltd and Integrated Shipping Services Nig. Ltd. He started his career as an accountant with the Overseas Agency Nigeria Limited (OAN) and eventually rose to become the Managing Director between 2001 and 2007.
With over 20 years of experience in the oil, gas and energy sector, he has played a significant role in shaping the maritime industry evidenced by the various roles and capacity he has served in. Mr. Umar is a philanthropist and gives back to the society through the Abdul-Lateef & Sanni Foundation.
Ganiyat Odunola Sowami
Mrs. Ganiyat Sowami is the Programme Director at the Abdul-Lateef & Sanni Foundation. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors in Prudent Energy and Services Limited and Prudent Effsow Commodities Limited.
She began her career as an Educator, nurturing young minds in their early education journey. She has over 15 years of professional experience, spanning Strategy, Project Management, Stakeholder Management and Program Development & Implementation.
Mrs. Ganiyat holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos and a certificate in Project Stakeholder Management from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK.
Mrs. Sowami is a philanthropist and is happily married with children.
Aisha Aminu Umar
Mrs. Aisha Aminu Umar is the Programme Advisor at the Abdul-Lateef & Sanni Foundation, she has served as a Director in Sea Transports Group since 2004. She supervises the mentoring & counselling programs run by the Foundation.
Mrs. Aisha Aminu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-chemistry from the Bayero University, Kano. Her interests are in child development and educationand she has contributed her wealth of knowledge and experience in achieving the goals of the Foundation.
She is a community activist and is happily married with children.
